Faculty passing

TMLA remembers Sister Dorothy Geiger CSJ (formerly Sister M. Walter) who entered Eternal Life on January 5, 2010. She was in her 61st year of Religious Life. Sister Dorothy was a member of the English Dept at TMLA during the 1970s and 1980s. She was also the dedicated moderator of CRUSADER yearbook. Sister Dorothy is seen in this photo between S. Mary Helenita CSJ (who lives in the Brentwood Motherhouse) and two student members of the Library Club.

  1. I loved S. Dorothy's classes. She taught us how to really write a research paper and gave us a love of English literature. I remember a conversation my classmates and I had with her in the lunchroom one day regard The Picture of Dorian Grey; she treated our questions and comments with thoughtful, respectful responses and engaged us in a true literary discussion. It has always stayed with me. May the Lord bless her in Paradise. Thank you Sister Dot! Patricia Farrell Huff '82
